Kennet Phillipson
Hi, I'm Kennet Phillipson. I represent injured workers. In Principle. In Practice.
Kennet Phillipson's Bio:
Kennet Phillipson grew up in Western Washington, before heading to Eastern Washington University for college. Kennet graduated from EWU in 2003 summa cum laude with a major in government. While a student, he was appointed by Gov. Gary Locke to serve on the Board of Trustees of EWU, he played football and he served in student government. While still a student, Kennet also worked in the Washington State Senate as a legislative aide to several state Senators.
Kennet then attended the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2006. While there, in addition to his legal studies, he served as an associate editor of a nationally-recognized law journal.
Upon graduation, Kennet Phillipson returned to Seattle and entered private practice, dedicated to defending the rights of the criminally accused. His practice focused primarily on criminal misdemeanors and serious traffic offenses with an emphasis in DUI defense. For 12 years, Kennet represented his clients at all levels, from municipal to superior courts. He has tried jury trials throughout the State of Washington, advocating zealously on behalf of his clients.
Kennet attended Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyer’s College in 2010. He spent 28 days at Thunderhead Ranch outside of Dubois, WY learning from some of the best trial lawyers in the nation how to obtain justice for individuals, the poor, the injured, the forgotten, the voiceless, and the defenseless.
In 2018, looking for a change, Kennet Phillipson moved to Spokane and joined Beemer & Mumma P.S. He shifted his practice from criminal defense to worker's compensation. Kennet continues to bring his zealous advocacy to the representation of injured workers against the State and large corporations before the Department of Labor and Industries, the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, Superior Court, and beyond. He is an effective voice for his clients and commanding presence in the courtroom.
